Editors' Choice
Web Search Aggregator
LeapFish.com - No Click Web Search
Reviewed by Terry Kibiloski
LeapFish.com earned our
Editors' Choice award based on its simplicity, speed, and delivered search
results. Its simplicity comes from the fact that you do not need to mouse click
to do a search. As you are typing your search words, LeapFish is finding your
search results. Its speed shows almost instant results, appearing when you are
done typing. Its delivered results are relevant and clean. After trying many
different searches on LeapFish and on other household search engines, we were
very pleased with the delivered results of LeapFish. After using LeafFish, our
editors first began to bookmark it, and then add it to their browsers, making it
truly an Editors' Choice. If LeapFish keeps the interface as clean, simple,
fast, and relevant as it is today, it should find its way to the browsers of
Internet users throughout the planet.
The way LeapFish works is to
aggregate results from a combination of search engines like Google, Yahoo, and
MSN, plus blogs, news, Q&As, videos, images and shopping results from major
online destinations including Ebay and YouTube. It does this in an instant. This
means that it can display current news, images, videos and more for every search
term or phrase you type in, all of this without you clicking the mouse once. If
you do decide to click on the "see more" listed under a search widget, you will
get even more results. Videos and images that are relevant to your search are
displayed on the right of your screen. Hover over them and you will see an
enlarged image to help you decide whether to view them or not.
LeapFish uses proprietary
hyper-threading technology to connect with all major online portals
simultaneously to deliver a variety of search results from across the Web for
each of your searches. We expect that LeapFish will continue to add advancements
to this early version for some time to come.
Whether you are a casual Web
surfer, or a professional researcher, LeapFish is a tool you will want to add to
your browser for Web searching. Once you use it, you may never return to the
traditional search engine interfaces again. Like many simple gadgets we have
come to depend on over the years, you might ask yourself the question, "why
didn't I think of this?" Brilliant.
